One of my favorite sketches of all time is a sketch that John Cleese wrote for Monty Python about memory techniques. It was unfortunately dropped, but re-enacted here in this live talk he did a few years ago. It's absolutely hilarious and a tongue-in-cheek example of what memory techniques are like.
