Some videos I took to showcase Metro Exodus' performance on my hardware. I have been quite happy with it is since 1.0, however this is 1.0.0.2 (Patch 2 on Steam).

4A Games recommends 1080P MEDIUM at 60 FPS:
* GTX 1070
* i7-4790K
* 8GB RAM

My video features 1080P ULTRA and 1440P HIGH at 60 FPS:
* GTX 1070
* i7-4790K & i5-4690
* 16GB RAM
* SSD (yes, it matters) - Samsung 850 Evo 500GB

Motion Blur - HIGH
DirectX - DX 12
HairWorks - OFF
Advanced Physics - OFF
Tessellation - ON
Texture Filtering - 16X

It runs quite well way above recommended preset with either CPU (it's GPU-bound 95% of the time) with the occasional frame rate drop in specific areas. Closed spaces and tunnels run near 100 FPS. Overall, Metro Exodus scales very well and has excellent performance.
