Metroid Zero Mission 10% Hard Mode Run Segment 1 - The Beginning
Well, here's the next installment in my playthroughs in Youtube. An evil, grueling, low % run of Metroid: Zero Mission for the GBA. I'm using the Game Boy Player to play it on tv (and thus, record it), and I'm using my friend's GBA SP (the controls are much better with that) to play like normal.
Before you try to do this run, I suggest you do a 15% run, which will let you get five (six in lower difficulties) extra items which will make the run easier in some way.
The lowest percent able to be gotten in this game is 9%, but due to something in the NTSC (and Japan) version of this game, you need an extra weapon in Hard Mode.
You can't get past three missile barriers in the Space Pirate Mothership due to Space Pirates never dropping missile refills, and a Save Room (for some odd reason) being locked off.
Due to this, you have three choices: get the Screw Attack (the Tourian area will be insanely hard), another Missile expansion (Tourian area is made easier as you have four missiles, as well as boss fights), or a Super Missile expansion (which packs the punch of five missiles, so Tourian area and boss battles are MUCH easier). I decide to go for the extra Missile Expansion.
This is the second time I'm doing this run, so I probably will make (a lot of) mistakes.
Remember to add "&fmt=18" (without quotes) to the end of the video link to watch it in high quality!
First segment of the run. Not really that bad, just be careful not to hit the enemies and you'll have to be pretty quick against the giant worm thing. If you don't kill it then, it'll bother you later on.
