I finally got Rock Band 4 eight years late, and was greeted with two songs that ruined my hopes of getting a Full Game FC on Bass. At least in the immediate future. One of them was Dream Genie, whose rhythm is just stupid to try to hit consistently and for as long as it demands. And the other was Metropolis, Pt. 1 - "The Miracle and the Sleeper." On top of being 9 and a half minutes long, it has these two ugly sections that show up about halfway through.

Melody 1B is a tapping pattern with chords. And in my opinion, trying to do this with one hand is a waste of time. I can do it when the notes are right next to each other. But once greens get thrown in, forget it. I had to develop my own two handed method to hit this, also keeping in mind the two times you have to strum a yellow. Took a lot of trial and error, but I can do it now. Will I ever hit it in a real run? Right now I'm saying no. This might be the most insane section I’ve ever hit.

The bass solo mostly intimidates me for how quickly you have to deal with the strumming and grace notes. I had the same issue with Run To The Hills where it felt like the HOPOs were eating my strums. But after a bit I got the hang of it. Rethinking my calibration might've helped too. Again, if I hit this in a real FC run up to that point, I think my heart will explode.

I also did this in splitscreen, mostly cause there's something satisfying about tapping Melody 1B in particular. Unfortunately I gave myself less room to display the highway with Bass Solo. Gotta be mindful of that for potential future splitscreen videos.

Video's blocked in Russia, sorry...
