[Neural Cloud] Critical Cascade CS-29 Matrix Theory - Clearing with Rare Rewards
Superstring Shuttle consists of 3 stages: the "ranking map" C-27, the speedrun map C-28 and the puzzle map CS-29. This video showcases the puzzle map CS-29.
CS-29 is a puzzle map where you have no AP refills. You will have to solve a series of puzzles with little to no AP supplied to you.
Puzzle 1 is simple: you will want to bait the pursuing Entropic to press 2 buttons for you, since you have 0 AP. The first one is given to you with the tutorial. For the second button, the simplest method is to camp right beside the button. At the end of your round, the Entropic will pursue you, press the button and then fight you. It is a piss easy fight anyways, nothing to worry about.
Puzzle 2 is similar to Puzzle 1. The difference is that you need to keep the pursuing Entropic alive since you want the Entropic to hold the button for you. Notice that the Entropic moves 5 spaces per turn. This means that you will need to find a path whose length is a multiple of 5 that ends at the button for the Entropic to take. Try figuring this out first before referencing the video. It's a fun puzzle!
Puzzle 3 is the exact same as Puzzle 2, except that the Entropic now moves 7 spaces per turn. In my opinion, Puzzle 3 is more straightforward than Puzzle 2. Again, try it first before consulting this video!
Puzzle 4 allows you to deploy a second team. This team will have 3 AP to use the laser 3 times. The 3 lasers shall be used to do the following:
- The first laser is used to detonate all the bombs, which gives you access to a platform block and some pipes
- The second laser is used to break the block that is blocking you from having access to the bottom right section of the map
- The third laser is used to detonate the bomb on the bottom right side of the map, which unlocks access to the final puzzle
Be very careful when trying to solve Puzzle 4! You can easily softlock yourself in this section of the map, which will then force you to reset the round you are currently on.
Puzzle 5 requires you to use one block to press 2 buttons. You are given 1 additional AP for this section, but you will not be using it for the puzzle.
Once you unlock Puzzle 5, you will gain access to another laser. This laser will unlock the rare rewards from this map, which is 150 Quartz Sand. Surely you want sand, right? So of course you're using that last AP to get the Sand.
This means that you will need to find a 0 AP solution to Puzzle 5. The steps are simple:
- First, use the block to press the Yellow button. This will require both of your teams
- Then, move one team beyond the Yellow block
- The team that stays behind will use one pipe piece to press the reset button on the top right side of the map. This will reset the bottom right block as well
- Then, use the bottom right block to press the Blue button, and you're done!
It's simple, right? Exactly, who needs AP anyway? AP is overrated.
