I turn a little at the start, so that the curve of the next turn just barely misses both corners of the wall. If you just let yourself fall directly downward, then you won't be able to turn as quickly, unless you break it down into 2 turns, and that's much harder.

The rest of the run is fairly straightforward. Just cut corners as closely as possible, and generally try to get where you're going as directly as possible. You'll lose time and speed if you don't cut the corners well enough, and that means you'll be slower when it comes time to collect the last key, which is already slow enough.
