413It's 1945 and the world is a dark place, the US had remained neutral and the combined forces of the Axis Powers now control all of North Africa, Western Europe, and Scandinavia. Britain stood alone, having fought for 3 years before having to sue for peace in 1942 as it's armed forces were beaten across the globe by both Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and German forces. They remain in New Zealand, Australia, Southern Africa, the Middle East, and the Home Islands. Despite the horrendous loss of life, Churchill vowed to the House of Commons to avenge those lost over seas.
The Axis didn't stop there, in 1943, the largest land invasion in history rocked the Soviet Union, however, despite early tragedies, USSR High Command had been forewarned about the invasion and made plans for fallback lines, it was there that Axis forces would bog down. However, heavy fighting continues today, as without any allies, the Luftwaffe and Kriegsmarine, having achieved supremacy over the Soviet Union, slowly begin to strangle the country. Despite having a surplus of resources, the blockade of Vladivostok, Murmansk, and the fall of Leningrad have cut the USSR off from lend lease, and the loss of Ukraine threatens to put the whole USSR into a food shortage.
However, in 1945, the Republic of China fell, falling into the Japanese Sphere as the Re-organized Republic of China. By this time, though; the US had recovered from it's economic decline and had raised itself into a world power while the world had progressed. Part of a planned agreement between the US and Great Britain, the Japanese Empire received a demand to evacuate all occupied British territories within the Far East. Feeling emboldened by recent victories however, and noting that the US Pacific Fleet was building up within Pearl Harbor, the Imperial Japanese Navy struck at Pearl without warning, and invade the Philippines, Guam, and Wake Island. Despite early advances,however,they would only awaken a sleeping giant as the US entered the war. Shock waves were sent through OKW command as Britain rejoined the war, followed by America. Caught on the back foot, the Atlantic wall, while formidable, was under-manned, and they quickly sent several crack divisions west, slightly easing pressure off the Soviets, who in turn were now at war with the Japanese, as skirmishes erupted in Mongolia and Manchuria.
It's June 6th, 1945, and you are in charge of Allied Forces on Omaha, you are not alone however, because Allied forces are landing on Utah, Gold, Juno, and Sword Beach, along with the largest airborne invasions yet seen. To make matters worse for the Reich, while the Atlantic Wall was undermanned, invasions in North Africa and Southern France have caught Axis forces completely off guard, and Italian, Vichy French, Spanish, and Afrika Korps are desperately redirecting their forces to halt Patton and Montgomery Armies in Morocco.
You are a part of a Great Crusade, you will be fighting dug in Axis forces, who are holding out until reinforcements come to their aid. Fight on, for you will be taking pressure off the North African and Southern French beaches! All over the globe, forces of the free world are launching counter attacks, and you are but one of many who hold the key in stopping the Axis of Evil for good.
