Trading in PoE is a PVP endeavour. A common trick is to post items in unusual currencies - at the time of this video Master Cartographer's Sextants, but sometimes Cartographer's Chisels and/or Vaal Orbs are used too.

Unfortunately it works.

If you want to buy maps or other items from other players, please look for items listed in chaos orbs and/or exalted orbs - as the highest turnover currencies those two are very hard to price fix.

Whilst I didn't get any takers on my fair priced Lair of the Hydra maps while recording I was hammered by trade requests within ten minutes of completing this video.
