Path of Exile - An Introduction To The Preferred Map System
Added three months ago, the preferred map system allows you to bias map drops in favour of the maps you like the most.
It's not available until you start running tier 16 maps.
Recommended Maps in 3.11:
Obviously, deviate from these as you see fit. If you find Cells or Mineral Pools lots of fun, don't let me stop you favoriting them.
Haewark: Burial over Estuary, and it's not close. OK layout, Doctor divination card.
Tirn's: Toxic Sewer is very good for some builds. City Square for most others. CONSIDER Summit or Relic Chamber for div cards though. Spider Forest is a trap - great div cards but super empty.
Proxima: Siege for Lord of Celebration in this league only (trade, for the challenge). Otherwise, pick Tower or one of the many good layouts (Glacier, Fields, Jungle Valley, Arid Lake, Haunted Mansion, Ashen Wood). Bazaar an option for div cards too.
Ejoris: Port is very popular. I personally HATE it, but this is my opinion only. Malformation is exceptional with Delirium if you have heaps of scarabs. Consider favoriting nothing.
Vastir: Alleyways (exalt cards)
Glennach Cairns: I'm partial to Beach for the layout. Marshes is a trap (smooth layout but empty and easy to get lost at the start). Shore also excellent but competes with Burial and Tower at T15. OR: Park at T16 for super smooth layout.
Valdo: Tropical is probably the best T14 overall, mostly because of its synergy with the Delirium mirror
Lira Arthain: I recommend leaving blank.
OVERALL:
PRIORITISE anything you don't have awakening bonus on. AFTER you have that everywhere
T16: Alleyways. CONSIDER ALSO Park, Siege
T15: Burial. CONSIDER ALSO Shore
T14: Tropical, Beach, City Square, any other smooth layouts
