This guide looks at strategies to make currency in the very early days of a new league.

Key points:

- Level fast
- Be flexible on sell prices
- You want to be in maps by league launch + 7 hours (less if you are a better player than me). For tips on getting there check out this excellent guide by Zizaran: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKrvaUjgezU
- Map fast. Invest your day 1 currency, not in exalts, but into consumables only the wealthiest players can afford to use to their true potential
- These are annuls, top scarabs, glyphic fossils, 'parts' of a mirror (e.g. Mirror Shards), 'parts' of a Headhunter (e.g. 'The Nurse' divination card)
- Sell maps early. Abuse Zana mods to get more map returns.
- Ascend the Atlas vertically (i.e. it's fine to be running tier 7 maps when you still are missing several tier 3s). Always run your highest tier map unless you have a very compelling reason not to (e.g. 'I can't beat tier 9s yet)
