Path of Exile - Rolling and Running Heists for Alert Control in 3.12.2
Post 3.12.2, alching Heists for alert control is important.
All (or almost all) mods grant a reduction to alert, allowing access to more chests. Chests were nerfed in 3.12.1 but are still good.
There's a number of 'surprise' items in Heist chests - most notably, encahnted jewels, synthesised and fractured items. Fractured Cobalt/Viridian/Crimson jewels can be very, very good as they make rolling good combinations of mods much easier.
If you are learning Heist mechanics, there's no shame in rolling the contracts to be easy. Same principles apply for Blueprints.

i've set up one of those silly merchandise stores. https://merch.streamelements.com/sirgog if you want to buy anything there. also accepting bribes (not real bribes) at https://streamelements.com/sirgog/tip . if you'd rather spend money on other stuff, that's cool too.
