Medal of Honor Pacific Assault was released in November 2004 as a PC exclusive. The game was developed by EA LA and published by EA Games. It is a first-person shooter game, the story of which takes place during the Pacific War. It is the 7th installment of the Medal of Honor series.

I expected the game to be a big WW2 memorable game, and for the most part it was. There are some epic moments, and the game achieves to be pretty realistic for a 2004 game.

Unfortunately, the game has some problems that can't be ignored. First of all, it's slow: the movement is slow, the reloading is slow, and most important the aiming-down-sights is slow. Maybe this tries to make the game more realistic, but sometimes it's more frustrating. Another problem is that the game is sometimes too difficult, and again, becomes frustrating. There are some mecanics in the game that I don't like, especially the sniper. And in the end, bugs, glitches, and unjustified slow loading times.

In the end, Pacific Assault feels like a missed opportunity, a game that could have been so much better, but it's core gameplay mecanics just feel... wrong. Anyway, i hope the longplay will be pretty fun to watch. -
