The rule is that you must not bring any objects to onions anywhere outside of distant spring. You may pluck outside of DS, as it would be impossible to reach DS with 25 reds only. The 1 yellow makes it possible. As a side note, candypop buds are also banned.

I am happy to complete it in 11 days and I do not think the total will be lowered. I am sure there is no way to beat DS in 1 day starting out with 25r1y1b, and FN pre DS is definitely more than 2 days since you need to push IJ1 over 3 days (unless new tricks are discovered).

This is a highly advanced challenge as there are lots of difficult tricks and routing required. You unlock DS with 12 parts, but there are only 12 parts with 25 weight or lower, s you must get all of them, even though a great deal of them are submerged in water or difficult to collect. That is why completing this challenge in the fewest days possible is an amazing feat.

This is the first of my "X-only-grows" series. DS only grows, or DSOG for short, is the hardest of all locations as you unlock DS last. The others may be viable speedrun categories, however DSOG is definitely not. It is way too hard to try to do fast.

Anyway, the routing is really interesting as with most other runs you don't get to see the true meaning of low pikmin. The only other run as advanced as this in terms of super minimal pikmin is the namely Minimal Pikmin run, where you complete each area first with only the minimum number of pikmin, collecting the smallest parts first, and only allowing more pikmin in the field when you can no longer carry any parts.

For FN to be possible in 3 days, I had to discover a new trick to get libra down from the ledge with no pikmin. My current red only method was too slow, but I found the new OOB and so 11 days is possible.

Brief route outline:
IS (duh), FOH get the 3 parts 20 or less, IS collect the positron generator in 1 day with red only strats (this unlocks FN), FN spend 3 days to collect all 7 parts 25 weight or lower, DS kill the progg and grow spend 2 days and clear it, FOH, FN, FT: 11 days.
