Man I've missed Pokemon WiFi battles! I didn't get to do a ton on Gen 7, but the Galar Newcomers' premise hooked me immediately: only new Pokemon and Galarian Forms allowed. I've always loved metas like that, such as that one VGC year where only the Unova dex was allowed. It often allows Pokemon to shine that you otherwise wouldn't see.

...Of course, Galar happened to introduce a LOT of good Pokemon, so there's a ton of common staples too. My team features some of these, but I wanted to put a unique spin on them.

This team was the first I've bred in this gen, mostly done in lunch hours at work, lol. It's an idea that came to me pretty quickly, though a few Pokemon I wanted to use didn't end up making the cut, like Failinks. (Too many Fairy weaknesses)

As for this match, things could've turned against me later on if I was unluckier with Paralysis and flinching. But I got to show one thing I love about this Corviknight: I can either tank and support with the main set, or Dynamax and go for Speed and Attack buffs. It basically gives me two Pokemon in one, and you'll hopefully see most used to good effect.

I went for Max Airstream on turn 1 instead of Tailwind, because I expected Grimmsnarl to Fake Out me. Dynamaxes are immune to flinching, and Max moves go through Protect, so Airstream guaranteed I'd get 1.5x Speed on both active Pokemon, at the cost of not getting it for the whole team.

This guy seems to have not realized Obstagoon, being Dark, blocks Prankster moves. I kinda didn't either until the 2nd attempt... and I yelled "Argh, I WANT you to Paralyze me!" See, this Obstagoon has Guts, and it was supposed to have a Flame Orb... and then I found out the Flame Orb is only obtainable RANDOMLY from League rematches. WHYYYYYYYYY?! (I still don't have one)

So I had to make do with Expert Belt. Double Edge was also a last-minute replacement for Facade.

I'll go into more team member profiles in the later matches. There ended up being 11 in total.
