Pokemon Platinum Randomized Nuzlocke - Finale - Three Against the World
It is time to complete my four generation series of increasingly harder Nuzlockes. This time it is Pokemon Platinum, but heavily randomized and with a maximum party size of 3. Things are going to be positively deranged.
Full Rules in Exhaustively Thorough Wording:
1. If a Pokemon faints for any reason, I cannot revive it and must release it as soon as possible. Pokemon that cannot be released are stored forever.
2. If my entire team is knocked out, or if due to releasing Pokemon I cannot progress, the game is over. If before that release or deposit can be made, I use the fainted Pokemon, either in battle or for an out of battle move, the game is over. If the fainted Pokemon was in the first slot and is forced into battle, or if a move such as Whirlwind or Roar forces a previously fainted Pokemon into battle before I have been able to deposit or release them, I may continue, however, I must immediately switch to another Pokemon when possible or the game is over.
3. No trading with or influence from other copies of Pokemon games is allowed.
4. I may only acquire 1 Pokemon per location (Route/Town/etc as designated by the on-screen location name). The first wild Pokemon I encounter in a location is the only Pokemon I may catch, if I am allowed and manage to do so. If that Pokemon is not caught, no Pokemon may be acquired from that location. Gifted, in-game trade, and statis encounter Pokemon are allowed to be acquired if they are valid choices.
5. Combat uses the "SET" rule, meaning that when I knock out an opponent's Pokemon, I do not get the option to change Pokemon at the same time.
6. All Pokemon must be given nicknames upon capture, or as soon as is possible.
7. Master Balls cannot be used.
8. No duplicate Pokemon, or Pokemon from an evolution line I have already acquired may be used.
9. No Pokemon or evolution lines acquired in my previously successful Nuzlocke series can be used. A full list of Pokemon restricted by this rule can be found at the end of this description.
10. If progress ever becomes impossible due to a lack of Pokemon that can learn required HM moves, the game is over.
11. No items may be used in battle.
12. No legendary Pokemon may be used. If the game forces me to use a legendary Pokemon before there is an opportunity to deposit or release them, I may continue, however, I must immediately switch to another Pokemon when possible or the game is over.
13. No held items may be used unless the game forces this.
14. The maximum size of my party is 3. If I acquire an additional Pokemon, I must store it as soon as is possible. If before that deposit can be made, I use the Pokemon, either in battle or for an out of battle move, the game is over. If a move such as Whirlwind or Roar forces the new Pokemon into battle, I may continue, however, I must immediately switch to another Pokemon or the game is over.
15. The game has been randomized. Pokemon locations, moves, base stats, abilities, and evolutions have all been randomized. Other trainer's Pokemon have been randomized. Items and TMs have been randomized.
16. If a Pokemon is acquired in a valid way, and then evolves into a restricted Pokemon, it may still be used.
