This is rough sample prototype arrangement for concept for a future arranged album.

Rough arrangements are for concept only, consisting of low-quality samples, and may not have been entirely mixed or panned. They exist to demonstrate the arrangement planned for the future Might and Magic I~V arranged album consisting of combination of high-quality sample libraries and/or live instruments.

This arrangement takes into consideration all versions: Ronald MT-32, Roland SC-55, SoundBlaster, PC-98, FM-TOWNS.
The image I had in mind for this arrangement, was unofficially making it a theme for the ancients, including Corak. (Although I've already unofficially assigned a theme, recurring in 5 other unused Sci-Fi themes, to specifically be Corak's theme.)

The Roland MT-32 version of this theme was originally composed for the Japanese game Starfire, before its designers decided to use OPN/OPNA FM music instead. (Only 2 of 17 original BGM designed for it were actually used in the final version of Starfire, and entirely new BGM were later composed for it). These 17 initial Starfire pieces were then intended to be used by Darkside's designers for various Sci-Fi environs and scenes.

Although this piece is strangely used for the Blacksmith in the final game, it was originally intended to be a Sci-Fi theme (which, apart from the file name, can easily be detected by the composition itself and instrument selection which is very similar to the others). If the three blacksmith compositions had not been rejected from their original purpose, it is possible that this unique piece may remain lost till this day. However, the original MIDI file has not yet been located.

Takeshi Abo no longer remembers what this piece was originally composed for in Starfire, saying, "I don’t remember, as I would expect, since nothing is mentioned in the source." (ソースに何も記載されていないので、さすがに覚えていません。) Based on the incomplete list of known original titles of the Starfire's music and the location list from the Starfire design documents, the most likely candidate for its original usage is the Lava Hospital.
