Here are all 29 of the Crisis Missions from the console version of (Time Crisis) Crisis Zone in Hard difficulty. This is a first on Youtube, as far as I'm aware.
More than a year ago, I started a project to compile all of the Crisis Missions for Time Crisis 2. However, progress was slow thanks to my self-imposed goal of getting 100% accuracy in all Missions (except the fight vs. Miller); that, and recently Smraedis uploaded a compilation of all Crisis Missions for that game anyway, with KAZ commenting that he might also try and do it soon, thus making that project feel far less urgent since. So, I decided to instead focus on Crisis Zone, previously just a side project borne while I was playing TC2.
Crisis Zone only has 29 missions compared to Time Crisis 2's 32, however, as evidenced by the video length, they tend to be much longer on average. They're also organised by theme (Machine Gun, Special Weapon, Select Weapon, Extra Weapon and Boss Battle) rather than Days of increasing difficulty. They also work much differently in this game: unlike the mainline TC games, where the Crisis Missions work a lot like Gran Turismo licence tests (having a baseline goal to pass the test, but additional, harder goals for Silver and Gold medals); here in Crisis Zone, you simply select between Normal and Hard difficulty (worth Silver and Gold respectively), with Hard unlocking for a particular mission after beating it in Normal once. This does mean you have to beat every single mission twice, however. Hard difficulty will often stiffen the requirements to complete the mission, add way more enemies with far more aggressive accuracy, have more stringent time limits or any combination of those.
Although 7 out of the 29 missions are just excerpts of the Boss Battles from the Story Mode, I think most will find the missions that actually ARE original are in general much easier than the Crisis Missions usually are in the mainline games, however I'd also argue they're not as tightly designed. They tend to rely on raw memorisation and cheap shots to a much bigger extent, and way more often than a more natural difficulty curve.
I feel like this video serves a secondary purpose than just displaying all of this game's Crisis Missions for the first time. I wanted to both show that the PCSX2 Playstation 2 emulator can run this game perfectly and has been able to do so for years, but also clear up the misconception that the Nuvee lightgun plugin doesn't work with this game. As evidenced by the video, it in fact does, however I would not blame you at all if you thought it didn't, since getting it to run properly isn't very intuitive. Nuvee by itself already isn't very easy to set up, but to get it working with Crisis Zone, you will need to follow several more steps than the usual. You can follow the guide originally posted on this thread to fix the issue of not having Automatic fire using the Machinegun in game when using the Nuvee plugin: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=151385.0
Following the instructions in that thread, you'll be able to play Crisis Zone properly using whatever pointer input you prefer: Mouse, Wii Remote, Aimtrak, Sinden, 4-point sensor guns or whatever else you can hook up to your PC to use as a mouse. A huge advantage this method has over the "Smokeless" patch that is floating around the internet you can use with this game is that this should work on any PCSX2 version that is compatible with Nuvee, unlike that patch which only works on 1.4.0. Using Nuvee also grants SIGNIFICANTLY less input lag than that patch as well, in my experience. Of course, you're going to have to put up with the smokescreen in game. It should also be noted that Nuvee only works with the NTSC-U version of the game, while the "Smokeless" patch only works with the PAL version.
In case you're not into trying to read admittedly broken English to fix the issue, here is my best shot at explaining the fix: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/528752734275371036/773026972515303424/unknown.png
