I love the sound of these 2.75" Big Straights, but it's impossible to ride without earplugs, so I went to work at taming the beast.

The result? An even better sound than Hard Krome puts out, with a dB level my ears can live with.

Loud enough to sound great, quiet enough to live with.

Parts needed:
- 1/2" or thicker ceramic padding (NOT fiberglass padding - it wears out too fast)
I used this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZQPC43B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
- A roll of masking tape
- An angle grinder or hacksaw
- Allen wrenches
- A welding chisel or similar chisel
- A hammer

Sorry about the camera zoom/angles, it's my first how-to in a long time. I'll get better. If you have any tips for my next videos, please let me know below.

Keep the rubber side down. Cheers!
