Finally, a game on this channel that isn't an FPS or TPS. Well, it still runs on Unreal Engine 3 and makes heavy use of mouse aiming so we haven't ventured far from home yet. This is Roboblitz, an obscure indie game from 2006. It's notable for being the first-ever game made on Unreal Engine 3, and as such it still uses OpenAL for audio instead of FMOD or XAudio2. You can tell it's UE3 because of the horrendous Depth of Field effects that would go on to plague that generation's graphics. The binaural audio is acceptable enough for an indie title. The 3rd-person perspective makes it a little tough to gauge where sounds are, though moving the camera position inwards doesn't make a difference.
