SC6 Zasalamel Abyss Creation Tutorial 2.0
Much shorter than an hour this time. Enjoy.

Some info about this creation:
1. This creation can be made 100% legit without mods.
2. The "lightning ball" accessory in the center is made by taking two perfect spheres of the exact same size parameters and overlapping them in the same space, then changing the angle on one to 180 degrees so the textures overlap ever so slightly to cause them to flicker and phase in and out between eachother (as you more commonly see in old N64 era games). Just change the color/textures so they're different and bam! Cool flashy seizure orb. You can replicate this on any custom. It works with other accessories too but with much less of a success rate as spheres are one of the only accessories that can be rotated at 180 degrees and still maintain a near-perfect level of symmetry. The texture overlap is also random, every time the model refreshes (it refreshes a lot in creation when modifying colors and stickers and such which is why you see it changing so fast) it will either have the first sphere accessory as the main one with the second flickering behind it, or vice versa. Ideally I want the black sphere in front and the purple water pattern to be behind to look like lightning flickering in the darkness, but at worst it looks sort of like shiny purple magma which is fine too.
3. To build on the lightning orb trick, I actually picked this trick up in SoulCalibur V from a friend. SC6 pretty much reused the entire creation schematics from SC5 so it made sense that it'd work in this game too.
4. This creation took me several hours to make, making it the most time-consuming creation I've done by far. Most of it was just trial and error seeing what worked and what didn't work. But the time definitely paid off, and it's easily my favorite custom I've made by a long shot.
5. This is not the first abyss custom I've tried making but it's the first I've made that even remotely resembles him. I made one back when the game first came out, but I opted to use a skeleton for the base instead of Zasalamel. It didn't look very good. This time I wanted to challenge myself to make it only with Zasalamel as a base to keep it legal for competitive play. Before this I even tried making one back in SC4 with mods, but it still didn't look anywhere near as good as this one. I actually used the SC4 Nightmare 2P helm and spine back then which is why I used them this time. They definitely give a skeletal vibe to the character and the open helmet allowed me to get more creative with the face.
6. Due to the limitations I was given I opted not for a 1 to 1 copy of the original as you can plainly see, but I wanted to make it something that someone can easily look at and say, "That's Abyss!", while still looking newer and like a costume design that fits better in SC6.
7. My idea behind this was rather than Zasalamel being an endoskeleton surrounded by muscle tissue, I took his muscle tissue and put a sort of exoskeleton on the outside instead. This game takes place before SoulCalibur 3 and so my reasoning behind this is that Zasalamel doesn't have Soul Calibur and Soul Edge to make himself a complete Abyss. Maybe he gathered mere fragments...I mean Azwel's got two of them and we don't see him in later games, who knows. I choose to believe in a future where Zasalamel destroys Azwel. Regardless, this Abyss iteration is imperfect. That's what I drew off of based on the newer Irkalla design (originally from SC4) which clearly is more faded and not as complete looking as the original from Soul Calibur 3. To complete this idea of Zasalamel being mostly muscle, I've given him a muscly/bone face when his helmet gets removed, and you can see he still has some slight traces of his own skin still in tact--the Abyss has not fully taken him over yet. It's just sort of...stripped off the majority of his skin.
8. I was inspired to create this Abyss iteration simply based on the "Wretch's" set coming out. As soon as I saw that muscular underarmor I knew I had to try making Abyss again.
Thanks for watching and also for reading by this point! Maybe someday they will release a legitimate Abyss outfit for Zasalamel. Until then, this is the best I could do. If you think you can do better please, by all means, and do let me know what you come up with. I'd love the opportunity to improve upon this and make it better.
