Sepher Yetzirah - a reading - part 1 - Creation
In this episode I'm doing a reading of the Book of Formation - part of the Zohar. This is essentially a collation of Kabbalistic texts, and covers the a story of creation of reality which honestly, I feel is more reminiscent of the Law of One or the Emerald Tablets, than Genesis in the Bible (which is telling given that the translator was a co-founder of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn). It's a highly symbolic work, which gives me a lot to work with.
What were the three Sepharim?
What is the Decad and it's significance?
Is there a connection here with numerology? Is the order of the creation, or should I say, formation, laid out here significant?
Is the infinite nothingness which is the origin of all things linked to quantum superposition?
What is the relation between and significance of spirit and the elements: Air, Water and Fire?
What does this text tell us about the Polarity and the Law of Gender?
