Shinra Media & Fake News Expanded In Final Fantasy 7 Remake?
New screenshots of Final Fantasy 7 Remake have been floating around and they coincided with something I noticed during my reaction to the very first trailer. Upper plate Midgar, something we saw little of and it looks as if they are being used as propaganda. Fakes news and an authoritarian control of the media was a theme the original FF7 expertly navigated. From the sector 7 pillar collapse in Midgar, live tv rating of the Rufus Shinra parade, public televised executions and more. But with Final Fantasy 7 Remake this is Square Enix's opportunity to reimagine the game and my hope is they amp it up. The new screens, trailers and demo content all seems to hint its a possibility. Going to be diving a little into the psychology of fakes news and media, how we emotionally engage as humans with information and why a situation like what we see in Midgar is possible. Hopefully we get some new trailer content soon!
