It's Sierra Saturday! Let's play Quest for Glory! In this series, we play the "Ultimate Multiclass", or "Ulti-Multi" where Luke, Matt, and Andrew attempt to experience as much of the QFG series as possible in a single 5-game playthrough, combining the swordplay of the fighter, magic of the mage, and burglary and intrigue of the thief classes, all rolled into one!

In this episode:
Hints about Andrew's mysterious past

Quest for Glory II: "Trial by Fire", the sequel to the wildly successful "So you want to be a hero?" was released the next year in 1990, and improved on the formula of exploration and puzzle solving Adventure-RPG established by the first with fantastic results. It tells the continued story of the hero of Spielburg as he travels with Shameen and Shema, his Katta friends, and their merchant companion Abdulla Doo to their homeland of Shapier, where the hero must once again quest for glory and herodom.

The game was cutting edge, technologically, and set precedent for some beloved RPG game features that persist today, like the ability to import a character from a previous game and have the story be affected by their actions throughout the rest of the series, and even things like fast travel.

The NPCs are playing the GOG version of quest for glory using DOSBox, with Roland MT-32 audio.

Sierra Saturday is a weekly series on the Level 0 NPCs channel, where Matt & Luke relive their childhoods playing classic adventure games of the '80s and '90s (and beyond?). Sierra adventure games were a special breed of dark humor, brutally unfair puzzles and unforgettable characters, and we hope you enjoy this walk down memory lane with us.
