Grasset assembled one of the greatest private collections of 17th-century Dutch and Flemish paintings, crowned with a magnificent Venetian view by Canaletto.
Sotheby’s Alex Bell discusses the highlights of the Grasset Collection, including exceptional still lifes and landscapes from the ‘Golden Age’ of Dutch and Flemish art. All of these works, which on the face of it might seem rather different, are unified by an incredible sense of refinement.
