Space Engineers 2023 The Incomparable Ross Class VS Excelsior 2 and USS Carnegie
To be fair a traditional Galaxy Class doesn't stand up to that duo at all, which is why it's so delightfully strange that the Ross Class beats them so severely that even their shuttlecraft stay hidden behind debris while we casually polish them off. This is for 2 reasons, the traditional Galaxy Class has limited power output to torpedo yield, and also her shields are weaker.
The Ross Class has about 33% more power across the board which translates exceptionally well as she doesn't need to stand and fight very long with those enhanced torpedos.
Naturally if my opponents were firing their torpedos this would almost guarantee (on paper) a stalemate. Because the Ross Class is a bit to large to miss, we can determine that it might still have this outcome if one of a few variables remain constant.
For instance If she fires first on the stronger opponent (USS Carnegie) using those torpedos she will invariably cripple Carnegie's ability to fire that same weapon back thus we can assume the win.
If all of the ships are just using Phasers, the Ross has about a 75% chance of the win.
However: if she foolishly fired that weapon at the Excelsior 2 first she would certainly lose, because while it destroys the Excelsior 2, the return fire from Carnegie will do much the same to a Ross Class.
In short this would have been a weird day had Carnegie suddenly fired that Torpedo weapon, because no matter my response, I would be guaranteed at least 60% damage to all critical systems - meaning even if the torpedo weapon were somehow still functional, it wouldn't matter because the ships would destroy me with phasers within about 90 seconds.
