Spyro: Reignited Trilogy PC - 4K 60 FPS Gameplay w/Enhanced Graphics Config (130 Mbps Video)
It's been a little while since I uploaded anything. I'm currently working on some upgrades to the channel and my way of producing videos, as well as some more professional content related to Spyro: Reignited Trilogy, so while it might be a while before I get meaningful content back on the channel again, particularly emulation content, know that it is coming.

As far as Spyro: Reignited Trilogy on PC is concerned, it has turned out to be an interesting beast. The in-game settings are simple enough with most of the standard settings that go up to a High or Ultra preset, but it turns out the game has some .ini files you can edit with hidden graphics functionality. This includes pushing settings beyond their normal High/Ultra preset, as well as some additional functionality like resolution scaling and even dynamic resolution.
In my case, I was having trouble running the game with Ambient Occlusion on at all at 3840x2160, so initially I was forced to either turn it off or run the game at 1440p.
However, since I found the resolution scaling setting hidden in the settings, I set it to 85%. While this technically reduces the 3D rendered graphics slightly below native 4K to about 3264x1836 resolution (though menus and HUD elements remain native 4K), it's such a small reduction that with a bit of TAA (which I also pushed beyond it's normal in-game presets), the picture clarity is virtually indistinguishable from 4K and I can maintain an almost perfectly consistent 60 FPS (some extra drops appear due to recording but it's still very stable even with that).
Basically every setting has been pushed one or two points above it's normal max value, with the exception of Shadows (which I kept on High as Ultra shadows or anything higher is currently bugged and displays weird diamond patterns in a lot of the dynamic shadows). In particular, you may notice how good the draw distance is - normally you see grass and other things popping in relatively close to you even on the Ultra setting for Draw Distance. By editing the .ini file, I can push things like that further. I also found you can improve the smoothness of the motion blur effects so I did that too.
I will be making a video walking through these .ini files another time, but for now, enjoy the pretty and smooth visuals!
