This took several days of trying. By far the hardest mission of Starcraft 1 I have ever played. The AI is scripted to start really ferocious attacks on you the moment you expand, and all kind of early aggression is punished. This is a true turtling map where your best strategy is to perform a "grasshopper doctrine" where you don't even bother defending multiple locations at a time, but slowly consume resources in one place and then move on.


This was my first time trying the level with dark archons, which essentially won the mission for me. I had to reload several times to get past the really tough moments, but I'm not going to care anymore; the level is just too hard.
