Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin - Soul Bursts vs Alpha Wolf/Cactuar and Column Run
Funny SOPFFO abbreviation (this is a stylistic remake of the first one, but mature action, single origin not from ps1 final fantasy origins, and play as the first boss, Jack Garland but no knock you all down line), but some interesting tips:
1) Do not buy the season pass (physical is on sale sometimes for $30 and I got mine for $17) as you have to complete the game, play on hardest difficulty (you can die quickly but there's a lot of interesting gameplay mechanics like switching jobs mid-battle and raising MP by soul breaks that kill weakened enemies).
2) Optimize equipment and place skills in proper ability slots (you combo and do inputs rather than just press a button). It's a little confusing like having only 2 jobs in the battle layout to change.
3) Use defense (which I didn't really do in video, similar to AI commands); soul shield can learn temporary abilities though it is easily negated by stunning you if you use too long. Guard can help indefinitely but you take damage. Do not button mash.
4) Save points will heal your potions but respawn enemies. It helps train you or if you want to gain job levels for anything you didn't use.
5) You can use Venom with different jobs; they're not locked to a thief (duelist). I got it about 0:43 before killing cactuar who makes funny sounds.
6) Some flaws: Holding select (view button with squares) to talk or open doors/chests is annoying, there is no exploring for the world map, and this has bad load times if you play on old hardware (xbone here). That column bit was goofy but you can take fall damage if you're not careful (waypoint but no map can have you get lost sometimes).
