This level started one of the best series in my opinion. Sonic Series consists of 4 levels; SuperSonic 1.9 Insane Demon, UltraSonic 1.9 Insane Demon, HyperSonic 2.1 Extreme Demon and finally SubSonic 2.1 Extreme Demon. I like all these levels, but today we’ll just focus on SuperSonic. This level was one of the hardest back in 1.9, but today it stands as a pretty easy Insane Demon. Overall it looks and plays very well, there are multiple memorable and unique parts from great creators that we still know and love today. However we do have couple major problems here. Entering Evasium’s dual, 51%-57% is by far the most inconsistent part. I’m not sure if it’s thanks to refresh rate bugs or poorly designed dual, or maybe even both, but I do know like 90% of my attempts ended up there! It was absolutely ridiculous. Other awkward part is transitioning from Evasium to Gboy. Once you pass 66% you should be able to beat it no problem. Viprin’s memory ball parts get better after each level, which means it’s pretty bad in this one. In terms of gameplay it’s decent, decoration is just bland and too repetitive. It all looks the same and was annoying to learn, it does get consistent though. In summary SuperSonic is fantastic entry level to amazing level series. It’s fast paced, fun and balanced (except Evasium and beginning of Gboy).
