Tales of Arise was my most hyped game of 2021. I loved Beseria but Arise I found wanting. Its paced bad and the first half is better than the second. I suspect covid dropped the quality of the second half.

Good:
1. Nice graphics w/ lots of spacial reflections
2. Cool characters
3. Lore is amazing


Bad
1. 2nd half is plagued with bad pacing and poor level design copy/paste.
2. Practically no exp from enemies lower than you but one shot by high lvl enemies (may be specific to hard mode)
3. The cure point system is cool but leads to just annoying money grind
4. Enemies are super damage sponges and regular attacks suck so REIGNING SLASH!
