Ahhh tales of Berseria. to say this game has consumed my life around the time it came out would be an understatement haha. This game really took me by surpise of how damn good it is. and that saying something because I’m a pretty huge tales fan and already have high expectations of the games being good. albiet, my expectations was probably a bit lower due to zestiria which while not a bad game, was still one of the weaker tales game I’ve played. But talk about major comeback, from zestiria which I think is one of the weaker tales game to now berseria which I’ll say right of the back, one of my favorite tales game currently. The characters, the story, the gameplay, the buttloads of tales references you can find, everything in this game just re-ignited my extreme passion in the tales series after zestiria dimmed the embers a bit, and it’s just glorious. Well, enough with the introductions then, let’s just get to talking about this game now shall we, Tales of Berseria is an action rpg that was developed and published by Namco Bandai games . It is available for the PS4 and Steam.

Developer: Namoo Bandai
Publisher: Namco Bandai
Platform: PS4, Steam

Summary:

Overall, Tales of Berseria was just such an amazing game for me to experience. It had a dark and emotional story with great characters that I got heavily invested in with an interesting world that expand the overall lore of the world that both berseria and zestiria take place in with it even making zestiria story better just with the mere existence of berseira. The gameplay overall was a blast, from the engaging combat system that is rewarding to learn with it having a really fun cast of characters to play as to the plethora of side content that are fun to do as well as having variety. It got its own share of shortcomings such as you can tell this game was designed for the ps3 then was ported to the ps4, but tales of berseria is just such a well put together game that the shortcoming, while noticeable, didn’t impede my enjoyment of the game with it really reigniting my excitement in the series after Zestiria and I really do recommend people to try out Tales of Berseria.
