in this video I show you how easy it is for anyone to simply see the password you enter and any other thing entered over telnet the telnet protocol is not encrypted and very insecure this demonstrates that using a simple packet sniffing program we remotely gain the password in clear text over the wire and then use it to access the server hosted on the network this could be used in real world pentesting as many places still use this out of date and insecure protocol.
