Homeless veterans and at-risk veterans attended the Maricopa County StandDown, coordinated by the Arizona #Housing Coalition and the Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance. 'Stand Down' is a military term that refers to the brief period of time given to a soldier to leave an active combat area in order to rest and regain strength before returning to battle. The yearly event has served thousands of U.S. #military veterans and their families by helping them with critical supportive services to assist with maintaining their health and housing stability.
