In the 3rd round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft, the Detroit Red Wings drafted Djurgårdens forward Albin Grewe, a Superelit and SHL player 66th overall. Grewe to me is a guy who boasts such a similar play style to Boston Bruins star and pest Brad Marchand, so much so that Grewe himself says that he models his game after the Bruins agitator.
His season this past year wasn't that great, but let's talk about Grewe's progression forward into his career, and what he can be in his prime.
Also, it just occurred to me after recording this video that people may think I'm saying that Grewe can literally BE the next Marchand. This is incorrect, as I do not think Grewe has the offensive ceiling that Marchand does, but rather, the comparison I'm making lies in play style. Grewe is an annoying, disturbing, unflattering pest on the ice, as is Marchand is, and that is the comparison I'm making.
