The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match on Xbox 360 longplay, best of the NEOGEO style titles? 1CC
4Full gameplay, longplay, playthrough, walkthrough, guide and trueplay of Arcade mode from The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match as the Fatal Fury Team with a one credit clear (1CC). This was a complete remake / update of 2002 and was one of three games in the series to get this treatment along with 94 & 98. However in 2002 case it's hard to call it a remake as it's more like a complete overhaul and a new game.
Original released on PlayStation 2 & Arcade this version was one of the last games in the series to use the NEOGEO sprite look before, SNK Playmore went with redrawn sprites in the rather unfinished XII. While 2002 Unlimited Match has very little in the way of new content other than a new character called nameless who replaces K9999 and a few new moves for some of the characters. It's main selling point is the sheer number of characters it features, making it the most content complete title in the series to day. It's a shame SNK didn't add in the few missing characters to complete the entire roster from all the NEOGEO titles.
It's main admissions being the newer character from 2003 and XI, along with a few characters from the earlier games largely the sports team and bosses. As it stands there are over 60+ characters with all the extra versions.
So is this the best of the old style King of Fighters game, well that up to you to decided? There is no story in this one at all, not that it really needs it, this is just pure fighting fun. As with NEOGEO Battle Coliseum you have a selection of bosses to fight and pending on what you do in each fight depends on which boss you end up fighting. All the bosses are from the Nests Saga storyline along with an extra fight against Rugal who was the boss of the original 2002.
The Xbox 360 version requires you unlock all the bosses the first revision of the PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 4 release have them unlocked by default.
