Taking Team Italy--Terry Bogard, Andy Bogard, and Joe Higashi--for a spin in the NEOGEO mode of The King of Fighters '94 Re-Bout on PS2. This is still on difficulty 1 because I'm bad at games. : D But I think this may be the furthest I've ever gotten in '94! I guess all that practice mode "speed battle" training paid off (plus I realized that normal attacks rule in '94, since they're so fast and can chain with themselves).
The really nifty thing about the NEOGEO mode (as well as the regular, high-rezzified mode) in Re-Bout--as opposed to any other version of '94 that I'm aware of--is that the developers of this version removed the red and white screen strobing effect that would usually kick in when a fighter is KO'ed--and the super attacks in this game don't flash the screen either, unlike in later KOF games, so it's actually one of the most eyeball-friendly SNK fighting games--*the* most eyeball-friendly SNK team game that I know of, in fact!
This I think will be the last of the 720p 4:3 game videos I upload, as I've found my equipment can handle a 4:3 1080p (1440x1080) 60fps video capture. : ) So I won't have to grotesquely oversharpen things just to counteract the blurring effect of upscaling the 480 PS component signal to 720p! My plan is to line-double 480p signals to 960p, then add a black border to take that to 1080p, since YouTube doesn't allow 960p (it downgrades it to 720p : P). So the videos will be slightly smaller on-screen, but will be much sharper and more accurate. : )
