The Matrix Awakens | Unreal Engine 5 Demo | Xbox Series S vs PS5 | Graphics Comparison
21Hey folks! This video is a part of my Punchi Man Gaming videos. In case you are wondering why does my logo say "Pun-Chi Man", then that's what I'm calling my vlogs moving forward. Pun-Chi stands for Punjabi Chinese (In case you don't know it already, I'm Punjabi Chinese :) ). In this video I'm doing a graphics comparison of The Matrix Awakens on the Xbox Series S vs PS5.
PS5: dynamic 1620p at 30fps (1404p common)
Series S: dynamic 1080p at 30fps (828p common)
This tech demo demonstrates the power and potential that Unreal Engine 5 offers to all creators and teams moving forward and the future of gaming looks extremely bright thanks to this UE5 demo.
Loading times are surprisingly fastest on Series S, followed by PS5 by tenths of a second. All consoles hardly need 5 seconds to load the world which is super fast load times.
PS5 does benefit from additional smoke and dust particles and the volume of smoke and dust seems to be denser on the PS5. In terms of texturing both consoles are more or less the same with the PS5 being ahead of the Xbox Series S due to the sharpness offered by the higher resolution. The Xbox Series S video seems a bit noisier due to the lower resolution but performed better than my personal expectations and I was quite surprised by how smoothly this ran on it.
