The Monday Review Episode 5: Iconoclasts a Megaman/Metroid inspired Indie title.
1Games like Megaman, Castlevania and Metroid, have created a "metroidvania" flood of games over the years. Some, are great like Hallow Knight, Dead Cell, Bloodstained Ritual, while others just don't hold up. Well, Iconoclasts is one of those games I have been eyeballing for a while now. I have very fond memories of long days as a kid playing Megaman and Metroid. This game more then scratches that itch, and it does it well. Great graphics, intriguing story and very animated/alive characters. The controls are fluid and very rarely do I find myself lost and unable to figure out where I am suppose to go next. If you are looking for something to fill a Megatroid gaping hole in your heart/soul, then this game should be in your crosshairs. I give this game a solid 9/10. Only complaint, a couple the boss fights, a little "hey do this," would have been helpful.
