The creature was originally observed on April 17, 1976, when it was seen menacingly hanging over the Mawnan church tower.
Strangely enough, sightings around this church were reported up until August 1978.
This cryptid is around the size of a man, with pointed ears, crimson eyes, and black claws that resemble pincers.
It surprisingly resembles an owl.
Its body is somewhat resemblant to that of the more well-known Mothman; it is said to have had enormous, grey wings.
There were a lot of UFO reports and claims of weird animal behavior in the vicinity right before the Owlman sightings, which is somewhat unsettling and another connection to the Mothman case.
