For many fans of the franchise, seeing Henry Cavill portray Geralt of Rivia was a dream come true and saying that we’re eagerly awaiting the second season would be a massive understatement! Yes, we’ll be getting to see more about his mentor, Vesemir in the animated adventure “Nightmare of the Wolf” but get ready to explore the lore and sign up for a history lesson courtesy of the upcoming “Witcher” prequel, “Blood Origin.” That’s an amazing name, but we still have about a million questions about what we’re going to see 1200 years earlier. Will we finally get to see the story of the first Witcher and learn how the Trial of Grasses was created? This goes far beyond stories like “The Last Wish” and “Sword of Destiny” and promises to show us the Elven civilization before the Conjunction of Spheres. We want to find out about early humans before they started messing things up!
Was a prequel what you had in mind for the continuation of this Netflix series or do you worry this could be a distraction towards producing more episodes about Yennefer, Ciri, and the rest of the present-day cast?
