I've played a few dozen games of attrition and I seem to be noticing that a few weapons are significantly overpowered given their effectiveness in close quarters. Although the maps in Titanfall are large, the speed and agility in which your character can move can outdodge the average AR spam and sniper fire.

The Shotgun, smart pistol and SMG currently hold the throne when it comes to weapons that excel, and everything else falls to the waist side.
