Titanfall Mechs, Electric Fists And 7 More Borderlands 3 Features You’ll Love
Borderlands 3 looks like more of the same, but it’s way more of the same: playable characters with deep customisation, over a billion weapons (and more variety within them), a galaxy to explore and guns with legs. These are good Borderlands 3 features, and here we run through the changes that should make it bigger and better than before. Oh, and thanks to Logitech G and the G432 7.1 Surround Sound gaming headset for sponsoring this video. Check out the tech behind the G432 over on the Logitech G site: http://bit.ly/2FkTkbi
There are big Borderlands 3 features - loot instancing, multiple action skills - and there are smaller Borderlands 3 changes that improve quality of life. From butt slides to mantling it moves like a 2019 shooter should. Of course, it’ll take more than meeting current standards for this to dazzle us in the eventual Borderlands 3 review (reminder to subscribe to Rock Paper Shotgun so you don’t miss our Borderlands 3 PC review when it arrives in September.) In this brief Borderlands 3 test we got to play an early location with three different characters: Moze, Amara and Zane.
In Borderlands 3 Moze can summon a massive mech as her action skill, basically giving her the power of Titanfall, right down to customisable loadouts. Bang on new arms and you can choose the flavour of death that awaits. It would be too easy to dedicate all our Borderlands 3 impressions to her, but we were disciplined and made sure to test Amara and Zane for a fuller Borderlands 3 preview. Amara is the one with electric fists and mighty ground pounds, and Zane has a drone and holographic decoy - of course, the level of skill customisation means that Borderlands 3 playable characters are really different in every player’s hands.
We also tried some new Borderlands 3 weapons, sampling about ten of a potential billion Borderlands 3 guns. We love the new Tediore improvements, with a lot more layers to the destruction. Also: the way grenades combine multiple traits is really fun - bouncing bombs that place smaller explosives? Yes please! Sadly Borderlands 3 Claptrap didn’t appear in our demo for us to test said weapons on, but you can’t have everything. We at least squeeze in a quick Borderlands 3 boss - a disciple of the Calypso twins who are out to find vaults across the universe. Of all Borderlands 3 new features, these parodies of social media influencers were one of the bits that didn’t work as well for us, but time will tell if they get better.
We played Borderlands 3 PC - but with a pad - and are happy to answer any questions you have about the game. Want to know how long is Borderlands 3? We don’t know. But if you want to know about customization, the end game or what it feels like to explode a fanatic’s head, we can help you there. Pop any questions in the comments and we’ll do our best to answer them. Thanks for watching - like and subscribe, and all that jazz - and we’ll see you again soon for some more Borderlands 3 preview fun. Bye!
