[ DEMO 1 ] Touhou 17.5 Gouyoku Ibun - No Death Clear~
1,511After a long wait, we finally get a link to the beta. I'm by no means an expert, but I will be giving my general thoughts on this early demo~
The controls are as follow:
Z: dodge. If you don't press a direction, you will absorb all the water in the surrounding area, and if you press a button it will start a dash. You can graze with either of those, and it will last depending on how long you press the button.
X: Attack. In the ground, you have 3 moves to choose; a neutral attack, an attack downwards, and an attack upwards. If you keep pressing X sucesively, you'll get a combo (sometimes you'll have to face the other direction mid-combo in order to connect).
You absorb water while grazing/dashing; that will give you thouse weird orbs which you can use as a bomb, but be careful, since they're also your lives.
If you graze/dash while being close to a bullet, it will immediately transform all the bullets that came from the same source in water, which is of course a good thing.
Overall I think this game is pretty forgiving, even if what you see looks hard. A lot of your attacks have invulnerability, you can spam dashes in order to clean the screen, and the game combos for you. The only thing you'll have to be careful of is physical attacks, like the ones of Yuugi.
