Full disclosure: I hate this boss. I probably died around 20 or so times prior to finally beating him since this required experimentation, quick reflexes, and a lot of real life luck sometimes since you can't telegraph his one move at all (it leaves no red markers on the ground and kinda just sparks random in front of or behind you because that's some great game design right there!), so I cut the video to include the successful attempt.
In case you don't know, the order that you take on the Benevodons makes them stronger. So I tried to do the most annoying ones first, though I probably should've fought Xan Bie second or third to make him a little less of a pain in the taint since I vastly underestimated how much of a terror he was gonna be in No Future by not fighting him around first to even third instead.
Anyways, here's my strategy for how to go about it. You absolutely have to make sure to learn Ice spells/abilities on all your party members. Also, changing the day to Undine Day makes Xan Bie a bit weaker to Ice, and you're gonna need all the help and advantages that you can get for this fight.
