TWiP 439: OK DO THIS!
Model Mayhem is a leading portfolio website for professional models and photographers. Using the popular “freemium” model, the service allows people to create profiles, upload photos and connect with other professionals for real world shoots.
However, many of the people using the service know that relying on Model Mayhem could bring a bit of “mayhem” to your shoot. Namely, flakiness, or the tendency of some people to just not show up for a gig. Not only is this behavior unprofessional, but it impacts everyone else involved with said gig. Luckily it looks like Model Mayhem has been listening, and has put in place a credit system it hopes will help wash those flakes away.
Also in this episode, one of TWiP’s newest advertisers, Eyefi, has acquired OKDOTHIS, an app I had the pleasure of discussing with the companys cofounder, my friend Jeremy Cowart back on TWiP Talks Episode 4. In today’s show the panel and I chat about the placement of OKDOTHIS within Eyefi, and the greater social photo sharing ecosystem.
And be sure to listen all the way to the end of the episode for a quick interview I did with a somewhat unconventional TWiP sponsor... Stride Health.
