In Maniac Mansion for the NES, there's a bug in the game that allows you to play with only two characters. Normally, the game doesn't allow you to start unless you've chosen three characters, but this glitch allows you to play the game with only two.

It's pretty easy to pull off. All you have to do is mash the A button while moving your cursor from Michael and the START option repeatedly. Eventually the character select screen will glitch out and let you play the game with only Dave and Michael. This is basically the game's Hard Mode if you think about it!
