Wow I actually did it with all the coins! No joke this becomes an entry Extreme Demon level if you go for the last two coins. I was actually quite intimidated by this level. I was supposed to beat this around last Halloween but I just kept postponing it. When I first beat this (it was without coins) I fluked Jeyzor and Sumsar. This time though I did die twice to Jeyzor, however I still managed to fluke Sumsar which was buffed this time because of the last coin. It was thrilling!
There are still lots of things and parts that I dislike. It does make a good sequel to SuperSonic and even though this is much harder, in terms of balancing it’s quite the same. I think overall SuperSonic has lots of Hard Demon difficulty parts but it has few inconsistencies which makes it an Insane Demon. UltraSonic on the other hand has several Insane Demon parts but if you go for the last two coins some parts get buffed and I think it becomes an Extreme overall.
I’d like to mention that this level is even without the coins very second-half-heavy in terms of difficulty. Ggboy as usual just can’t fathom how to make balanced gameplay, so 6%-7% is quite luck based if you ask me. After that terrible ball part it’s pretty much impossible to fail before Glittershroom’s swing copter part. This part is probably the hardest part of the level if you go for the coin that is. And how could I forget that on higher refresh rates transitioning into Viprin’s ball part (52%) you have to make an extra click to make it out alive so that can be tricky. And speaking of Viprin my favourite parts of the level are Viprin and Evasium which come after the swing copter. Jeyzor is great too, but unfortunately there are some rare cases you can die to a bug. It’s still very intense and good part. I also both love and hate the last part, thankfully I didn’t die there this time either.
Overall UltraSonic is a fantastic level with just some minor hiccups.
