How to Fix Neretze's Folly! - https://youtu.be/HnAIuKFiPzY
FULL SCRIPT:
Best policies after beta 1.4.1 hotfix nerf & 1.4.2 beta buff:

When 1.4.1 hotfix came out, we received a lot of changes and the most
significant in my opinion is the change to a lot of policies in regards to
influence gain. Then again in 1.4.2 some policies were slightly buffed back.

Here is the list of all the changes as of 1.4.2, i am going to put it on the
screen and you can pause it:

Sacred majesty: Ruler clan now makes 3 influence and non ruling loses 0.5
daily, used to be gain 5 and lose 1

Royal guard: Now only increases your party by 60(used to be 80) and
non ruling clans lose 0.2 influence.

Castle Charters: Does not give any influence anymore, used to be +1 per
castle

Military Coronae: Now gives you 20% more influence instead of 30%

Feudal Inheritance: Now give clans 0.1 influence per fief instead of 0.2

Magistrates: Now does not give influence, used to be +1 influence to ruler
clan

Senate: Tier 3+ clans gain 0.5 influence per day, used to be +1

Noble Retinues: Now Tier 5+ clans lose one influence per day and have a +40
increase to party size, used to be Tier 4+ clans gain +1 influence and +50
party size.

Lords' Privy Council: Tier 5+ clans gain 0.5 influence per day, used to be
+1

Also each town you have gives you 1 influence now, used to be 1.5

So now lets talk about my top 4 because if you take the clan tier 4 approach
to creating a kingdom, you get 4 free policies:

- Sacred Majestry:
Even though it was nerfed, it is still the best policy for influence,
especially early on when you do not own much in terms of fiefs.

The negative effective of non ruling clans does not matter because you are
the only clan in your kingdom.

- Royal Guard:
Even though it does not grant influence anymore, it is still the best way
to increase your party size by a huge chunk early on.

Again the negative effect of non ruling clans losing influence does not
matter in the current stat of your kingdom.

- Hunting Rights:

Food production in castles and towns will increase almost everything in
fief. More food will equal more prosperity and more properity equals more
militia.

The negative town loyalty decrease of 0.2 is very minimal and the upside
is far better than the downside.

- Senate:

The gain of influence might be low with only 0.5 influence, but the fact
that there is no negative effect makes this worth it.

Now that we have our top 4, lets talk about the ones you should focus on
getting in the future:

- Once you reach clan tier 5, get Noble retinues and lords privy council.

Noble retinues gives you +40 party size, but you lose 1 influence per day

Lords privy council just gives you +0.5 influence like Senate

Both of these combined give you +40 party size and you only lose 0.5
influence. Remember that all Tier 5 clans get this bonus, not only the player

- Once you have a couple towns, a good policy to have is grazing rights,
it gives each town +1 to loyalty and militia with no negative effects.

- If you have money to spare, and need more influecne, then military coronae
is a good choice. It grants 20% more influence from battles, but troop wages
are up by 10%.

- Again if you have a lot of money saved up, but want to beef up your towns
and influence, then bailiffs would be a good choice. Town security is
increased by 1 and once your town reaches 60 security, you will also gain 1
influence per day. The downside is taxes from towns are reduced by 0.5,
but i think that is a typo and it is meant to be 5%.

- If you wish to upgrade your towns prosperity, imperial towns is good.
Towns held by ruler clan gain 1 loyalty and 1 prosperity per day and the
only downside is towns held by non ruling clans lose 0.3 loyalty per day/
The upside is way better than the downside.

- Now here is a list of all policies that have no downside that you can get
overtime:

Castle Charters - castle upgrade costs are reduced by 20%
Precarial Land Tenure - influence cost of proposing to take another clans
fief away is reduced by 50% for the ruler clan
Royal Privilege - influence cost of ruler overriding the popular vote is
reduced by 20%

Now the rest of the policies, i really suggest you read all of them over
and see if they are a fit for your kingdom.

Hopefully this video was informative and ask me any questions.

More video to come and like always stay safe!
