Myself and Sandy were recently on the quest of finding and exploring Minecraft's cave ambient sounds (We do this by recording our gameplay and sounds at maximum levels; we also use shaders to make the experience more dynamic and nail-biting.)
Upon this recording that was recently broadcasted, I noticed something peculiar: at a certain point in the video (at 0:06), you can hear a Zombie's squeaky footsteps. When I investigate, I see no signs of a Zombie or its noise. In the distance, I finally find the Zombie behind a tree in the biome I was in (Roughly 50 blocks away). I didn't think much of it at the time, as mobs do tend to spawn in dark environments, even in day time (especially in Foofted Forests - which was the biome I was currently in at the time.)
The Zombie (or at least I presume it was a Zombie) immediately disappeared a second later, leaving myself perplexed and confused. I walk a few blocks away trying to think what the hell just transpired, only to hear a very loud, ominous cave sound. I retrace my steps after I heard the cave sound and became to further investigate more, as well as trying to locate where the sound was coming from. I stumble upon a surface cave (One that I am almost wasn't there before).

Very creepy stuff. Hopefully, my friend, Sandy, can further examine this weird phenomenon.
