walking outside with tics and tourettes *embarrassing*
98Hi everyone! In today's video I am going to be taking you on a walk outside to show you what tics and Tourette's can be like in public...and to show you that it's something normal for me!! I went on a short walk and tried to film a little bit of my tics to show you what some of my "normal" tics are, and just to have a little fun! It is a little embarrassing to tic in public, but I'm slowly getting more confident! As a girl with Tourette's, I would love to spread awareness and education about my disorder, as I feel it is quite misunderstood in today's society. The media has made it out to be a swearing disorder only, which is far from true. Even though I'm trying to raise awareness and advocate, I still get embarrassed by my tics, but I'm learning to accept my disorder! Life with Tourettes can be difficult, but just know that we're the same as everyone else...except for the fact we tic like clocks! (:
